Otoshi Poetry

Today I called my friend Karen to wish her a happy birthday, and it was the first time I talked to her in three years.

Our chat was amazing and her voice felt so friendly over the phone. I am so lucky to have someone like her in my life and I know she is going to do something extraordinary in her lifetime.

Her modesty and gentleness with her words made me smile every time she spoke and she is such a great role model for me to strive to be. Our mutual laughter made me remember how close of friends we are and I feel like we just have a natural understanding of each other.

I still don’t know too much about her, but I just feel really trusted and comfortable around her, which are probably the best traits of a growing friendship.

We’re going to try our best to stay connected from now on, and I’m excited for our next chat =]
